When is a transport licence required?
A transport licence is required if the company transports goods or passengers for remuneration within the territory of Lithuania or on international routes.
What are the types of transport licence?
The main types are: domestic freight licence, international freight licence, passenger licence (urban, suburban or international).
What are the basic requirements for a transport licence?
The company must be registered in Lithuania, have financial capacity, a transport manager (with qualifications), a technical base or vehicles.
How do I apply for a transport licence?
The application shall be submitted electronically through the Lithuanian Transport Safety Administration (LTSA) system, together with the necessary documents.
