VMI has drawn up a new list of companies affected by the pandemic, for which it will continue to apply until 30 April and for two more months:    <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>no interest will be charged<\/li>\n<li>no tax recovery action<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To enter into a tax loan agreement (TLA) without interest, entrepreneurs on the new list will have to submit an application to the VMI by 30 April, as TLAs have to be concluded before 30 June.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><u><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vmi.lt\/cms\/documents\/10162\/8782061\/Sarasas_atidejimai_01_06.xlsx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Download<\/a><\/u> the new list of companies affected by the pandemic <u>here.<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The new list of companies was established in the light of the restrictions imposed during the autumn quarantine on the activities under the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.e-tar.lt\/portal\/lt\/legalAct\/67d781c04a8311eb8d9fe110e148c770\">list of companies in the CESE<\/a>, as approved by the Ministries of the Economy and Innovation and Social Security and Labour.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The list also takes into account other company performance indicators. For example, the list does not include businesses (VAT-registered) whose turnover in October-November 2020 has not decreased compared to the same period in 2019. Similarly, if a company is included in the list of unreliable taxpayers, an assessment is also made of whether the company is bankrupt, in liquidation etc.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The VMI will update the list of affected taxpayers on a monthly basis, based on the assessment of the data provided by the companies (VAT taxpayers) in their tax returns.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Interest-free tax loan agreement<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>No interest and no questions asked &#8211; until 31 December 2022. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Companies for which the tax aid measures have been extended may conclude a tax loan agreement <strong>without interest<\/strong> for tax debts incurred up to the end of the year. 30 April. Businesses that were not included in the list of businesses affected by COVID-19 in 2020 may conclude an APA without interest for tax debts incurred as from this year. 1 January to 30 April. In either case, the MPS payments can be deferred until 31 December 2022.         <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No additional documents are required to be submitted to the VAT authorities to conclude such an agreement, just a request stating the desired payment terms. For companies included in the updated list, the request can be submitted until 30 April by logging in to <em>My VMI &gt; Services &gt; Order Service &gt; Tax accounting and payments &gt; Postponement or staggering of tax arrears payment deadlines<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If a difficult financial situation does not allow enough time for the debt to be deferred and paid, a longer period for deferral and payment may be requested, up to a maximum of five years. In this case, tax payments up to 31 December 2022 can be deferred and paid without interest, while interest of 0.01% per day will be charged on subsequent payments.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For the conclusion of a tax loan agreement for a period longer than 31 December 2022, the standard procedure and requirements apply, and the taxpayer must support its request with documents describing the taxpayer&#8217;s financial situation and substantiating the data and circumstances referred to in the request.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Deferment of payments can be requested for one year.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Taxpayers may request a one-year deferral of the first instalment when entering into a tax loan agreement. In this case, if the debt is below EUR 300,000, no additional documents are required at the time of the request, but if the debt is equal to or more than EUR 300,000, supporting documents must be submitted to the tax administration together with the request. It should be noted that deferring the payment does not change the expiry date of the <strong>interest-free<\/strong> tax loan agreement, which can be concluded until 31 December 2022. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.e-tar.lt\/portal\/lt\/legalAct\/1e782df06f5411eabee4a336e7e6fdab\/asr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><u>Detailed procedures for the conclusion of tax credits are set out on 26 March 2020.
